Q: Do they have to be eaten the day they arrive?
A: The Stone Crab Claws should be kept in the coldest part of the refrigerator and used within 2-3 days. To make sure that they keep their freshness they can be stored on ice.

Q: When they arrive, can they be eaten? Or do they need to be reheated?. I prefer chilled, just didn't know if they had to be brought back up to temperature for safety.
A: The Stone Crab Claws are pre-cooked, so you do not need to re-heat them if you prefer them chilled.

Q: Can I order Stone Crab Claws already cracked? I don't have a vise or other heavy-duty tool to prep them for eating. Also, can I order for delivery on a specific day?
A: We do not have the Stone Crab Claws pre-cracked, they are not cracked, so that they can preserve their freshness for a longer time. They should not be cracked until you are ready to serve them. You can crack them with a pair of scissor, mallet or even with a spoon (by hitting the shell repeatedly until it cracks and then just peel it off). We offer the option of requesting a specific delivery date during checkout, on the Shipping Options page.

Q: I've had the unfortunate experience to eat previously frozen stone crab claws.. uuggh Have your stone crab claws been previouly frozen?
A: Our Stone Crab Claws are not frozen, they are fresh and not previously frozen.

Q: So to re-heat, just drop them in boiling water for a few minutes?
A: Yes, they can be reheated by boiling them a few minutes.

Q: Are the stone crabs pre-cooked?
A: The stone crabs are cooked.

Q: is mustard sauce included with stone crab orders? i will be ordering 5 lbs/large
A: The sauce is not included.
