Q: How long does it last if kept refrigerated ?
A: The caviar is highly perishable and it needs to be kept refrigerated at about 26 to 39 degrees Fahrenheit (-1°C -+4°C). Unopened, the caviar will last for around 2-3 weeks. Once opened it needs to be used within 1-2 days.
Q: why is your caviar sold chilled, what is the difference between the chilled and not chilled?
A: Real caviar is cured only with a little salt (Malossol technique), it is not pasteurized or preserved with additives, which makes it highly perishable and thus it needs to be kept refrigerated (chilled).
