A: The dried mushrooms can then be chopped or powdered, and used to add flavor to different
dishes.
They can also be rehydrated. To do that, thoroughly rinse mushrooms and then soak them in 8 ounces of liquid per 1 ounce mushrooms for 20 minutes. Then strain the mushrooms from liquid using a strainer, colander or other filter, and optionally keep liquid for future recipes. To store reconstituted mushrooms, keep in a dry air-tight container in the the refrigerator. The rehydrated mushrooms can be used as fresh.
