Brie - Petit

Rodolphe Le Meunier is a master affineur and fifth generation cheese-maker, crafting his award-winning cheese in the cheese-heady Loire Valley region of France. His take on the French favorite, Brie, is a particularly great example of this cheese. With its billowy bloomy rind and creamy, supple pate, Brie will always be a favorite for the cheese board - mellow, mild, creamy and palate-pleasing. The flavor of Le Meunier's Brie is rich and velvety, with strong notes of grass and mushrooms.

The difference between Rodolphe Le Meunier’s brie and what you’ll find at the grocery store is not only the craftsmanship that goes into it, or the fresh milk full of the terroir of the Loire and the careful affinage, but also that each wheel is inspected and scrutinized, to make sure the quality is the best and the cheese is just right. Serve alongside other Le Meunier's wonderful cheeses for a fabulous artisan cheese board.

Product Questions And Answers

Q: Is this as spreadable as a cream cheese is? Can it be heated slightly without loosing its consistency?
A: Brie cheese should not be served right from the refrigerator, but allowed to sit outside until it reaches room temperature before serving. At this temperature the consistency will be gooey, so the cheese can be spread on different types of breads or crackers.
