They're often not available, and always high-priced, so truffle products like these are great. While truffle oil and butter add flavor and aroma, the truffle shaving puts the finishing touches on the dish. Our favorite: scramble eggs with truffle butter and peelings! Black summer truffles (t. indicum) preserved in salt and water. Drain and use. Refrigerate after opening.
