Bayley Hazen Blue

Bayley Hazen Blue is a full-flavored, blue American cheese that's as friendly to bluebie newbies as it is to us ravenous devourers of Roquefort, Gorgonzola, Stilton et al.

Named after an historic road that once brought settlers to Greensboro, Vermont (where the cheese originates), this raw cow's milk cheese has a dense and luscious texture comparable to fudge. But don't expect a whole load of sweetness here: traveling this road will be a nutty, tangy, spicy affair, over firm yet creamy paste potholed blue with notes of licorice.

As for how to enjoy it? Taking the high road, you'll sprinkle it lightly over a spinach salad alongside walnuts and berries, a glass of red wine perched in your hand. Take the low road and you might load it onto a juicy beefburger alongside a glass of stout or a bar of chocolate. Ultimately, both roads lead to the same place: blue cheese bliss!

Bayley Hazen Blue was made at Jasper Hill Farms, in the lush green hills of Vermont. This cheesemaking farmstead contains its own creamery as well as cellars, where stacks of cheeses are aged in carefully calibrated vaults for the optimum ripeness. The result is a diverse medley of American cheeses with unique and invigorating flavors, which you can bring to your home or business by ordering at the click of a button.
