A rare find, this lovely Japanese condiment is an aromatic blend of light soy sauce infused with beautiful cherry blossoms from Kyoto. Aged for one year, the fragrant flowers slowly infuse the sauce, giving it a fabulous flavor and aroma.
This Japanese Shoyu soy sauce is ideal in marinades and sushi, and the light, floral infusion adds an exquisitely perfumed flavor to any preparation. This delicate sauce starts with Japan’s most emblematic flower, picked, pickled in shiso vinegar and then salted. They’re then added to barrels of white soy sauce – shoyu – and left for one year, later bottled in a gorgeous bottle with a cork lid.
