Timut Peppercorns

Timut peppercorns, relative of the Szechuan peppercorn, come from deep within Nepal, packed full of crisp grapefruit and citrus aromas that are guaranteed to brighten up any dish. These Nepalese peppercorns give off a slight heat mingled with a mild numbing sensation in the mouth that tantalizes all of your senses.

Timut peppercorns are relatively new to Western cuisine but have been used by cultures in the East for many years, who believe they have excellent health benefits. They are thought to have anti-inflammatory properties, stimulate circulation, reduce bad cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure.

You could use these wonderfully complex peppercorns in most dishes, their citrus aroma and flavor a great complement to seafood and fish. Ground over hard cheeses, Timut peppercorns add a beautiful new label of flavor.
