Cocoa Truffle Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe Instructions

Ingredients
  • 5 1/2 oz. Bittersweet chocolate, in chips or small chunks
  • 5 1/2 oz. butter, softened
  • 3 oz. brown sugar
  • 3 oz. white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 15 chocolate truffles

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Beat the butter with a wooden spoon until it takes a creamy consistency. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and mix to incorporate. Sift in the the four, then add the nuts, chocolate chips and milk and continue mixing with the wooden spoon until the batter is moist and soft.
  3. Prepare a baking pan with a sheet of parchment paper and arrange spoonfuls of dough. Use a wet spoon to make an indentation in the center of each scoop of dough and put a chocolate truffle. Top with another small spoonful of dough and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and soft.
  4. Cool in the pan and finish cooling in a wire rack
